This series was created as a way of monitoring those individuals sentenced to hard labor by county courts. Each entry is numbered and lists prisoner's name, race, sex, court where sentenced, crime committed, date of conviction, term of sentence with fine, court costs, term to serve to cover court costs, date sentence with fine expires, expiration of sentence and fine on S.T. (sort time?), expiration of time for costs, and under remarks is listed the date discharged. Sometimes the prisoner's age is included.
